Pirate prologue
- Gol D. Roger, king of pirates is sentenced to death.
- Before dying, he incites everyone to find his treasure, the One Piece.
- This way, the big great era of pirates arises.
Chapter 1: ROMANCE DAWN - The Dawn of the Adventure
- Luffy eats Shanks' GomuGomu devil's fruit, turning into gum and unable to swim.
- Shanks looses his arm to save Luffy from drowning and being eaten by a sea monster.
- Shanks gives Luffy his straw hat, and ten years later, Luffy conquers the sea monster.
Chapter 2: That Guy, "Straw Hat Luffy"
- Luffy hides in a barrel during a whirlpool, taken to Arubida's base by Koby.
- Luffy and Koby try to escape in Koby's boat, but Arubida destroys it.
- Luffy defeats Arubida and joins Koby to find Roronoa Zoro at the Marine base.
Chapter 3: Introducing "Pirate Hunter Zoro"
- Luffy and Koby find Zoro tied to a cross in the Marine base and a girl offers Zoro onigiris.
- Helmeppo steps on the onigiris for having sugar and Zoro asks Luffy to put them on his mouth.
- Luffy overhears Helmeppo's false promise to free Zoro and punches Helmeppo in the face.
Chapter 4: Marine Captain, "Axe-Hand Morgan"
- Helmeppo seeks his father's help to kill Luffy, but Morgan refuses and rises a statue of himself.
- Luffy crushes Morgan's statue and pulls Helmeppo to take him to the location of Zoro's katana.
- Koby ties off Zoro after realizing he was protecting the village, but someone shoots Koby.
Chapter 5: Pirate King and Master Swordsman
- Luffy takes the 3 katanas from Helmeppo's room while the Marine surrounds Koby and Zoro.
- Zoro trained hard to beat Kuina after losing against her, but she died and he took her katana.
- Luffy covers them so that the bullets bounce off his body and Zoro agrees to be Luffy's crewmate.
Chapter 6: The First
- Luffy releases Zoro from the ties and sends to fly all the Marine soldiers with a rubber kick.
- Luffy kicks Morgan's face and Helmeppo uses Koby as a hostage by pointing a gun at him.
- Luffy punches Helmeppo's face while Zoro scratches Morgan with his swords before he hits Luffy.
Chapter 7: Friends
- After Zoro faints, he finally eats something in the house of the young girl along Luffy and Koby.
- The Marines ask the Straw Hat Pirates to leave and Luffy mocks Koby until Koby hits him.
- Koby joins the Marine and they say goodbye to Luffy and Zoro while they leave on a boat.
Chapter 8: Introducing Nami
- Luffy is caught by a bird for trying to catch it on the fly and 3 pirates drowning get on board.
- Nami tricked the 3 pirates with an empty treasure chest and took their ship full of treasure.
- Nami steals the Grand Line map and Luffy defeats the pirates after they believe he is saving Nami.
